Three artists exploring the connections between 21st and 17th Century Women.
Storytelling, History and a passion for our Craft
Curious Work was conceived in 2022 by textile artist Juliet Lockhart, as a result of her focus on the remarkable life and work of 17th Century Suffolk artist Mary Beale. Juliet invited fellow artists Alison Bournes (ceramics) and Clare Gaylard (glass) to join a collaboration that has resulted in shared research, workshops, exhibitions, open studios and online events. Storytelling, history and a passion for our medium are the powerful, common denominators in exploring connections between 17th and 21st Century women.
